About COTflow

Why this exists

Hi, I'm Travis and I've been trading Forex and Indices for a few years, using COT data as part of my weekly analysis.

Every Friday evening, the same routine: download the CFTC CSV, figure out which report applies to which market, calculate the COT Index manually, build the charts, compare to last week. An hour and a half, minimum — on a good week.

I looked for a better tool. COTbase covers 60+ markets but it's built for analysts who need everything — the interface is dense and the learning curve is real. Tradingster is free but shows raw data without interpretation. TradingView scripts work, but one per asset, no multi-market view, no weekly delta.

So I built what I actually needed: a single dashboard that processes the COT report automatically every Friday, covers the markets I follow — Forex and Indices, plus Commodities and Crypto — and gives me a readable state of institutional positioning in 5 minutes.

What COTflow is (and isn't)

COTflow is a data visualization tool. It turns public CFTC data into a readable weekly interface — 24 markets, automatic highlights, no manual processing.

It's not a signal service. It doesn't tell you what to do. It tells you what's there — positioning facts, weekly moves, detected patterns. You do the analysis.
