Terms of Service
Short version: COTflow turns public CFTC data into a readable weekly dashboard. It's an informational tool, not financial advice. Subscriptions are $9/month, cancel anytime, refund window covered in our Refund Policy.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of COTflow (the "Service"), operated by Renaud Blaser, an individual based in Switzerland ("we", "our", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Use of the Service
COTflow provides a dashboard that visualizes positioning data published weekly by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), along with contextual analysis. You may access the Service for personal or professional informational use.
You agree not to:
- Resell, redistribute, or republish the Service or its content as your own product
- Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically extract data from the Service
- Share your account credentials with others or use the Service on behalf of multiple users under a single account
- Use the Service to violate any applicable law or third-party rights
2. Account
To access paid features, you sign in via Clerk (our authentication provider) — typically with Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in method and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at info@cotflow.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Subscription & billing
COTflow is a monthly subscription at $9/month. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record — they handle billing, taxes, invoicing, and applicable VAT/GST collection. Your subscription renews automatically each month on the same date until you cancel.
You can cancel anytime from your account ("Manage subscription" — opens the Lemon Squeezy customer portal). Cancellation takes effect immediately; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy — most notably, a 7-day satisfaction guarantee on your first payment.
4. No financial advice
COTflow is an informational tool. Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, investment, trading, tax, or legal advice, nor a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, commodity, currency, or other instrument. Positioning data describes what market participants have done — it does not predict future prices.
You are solely responsible for your trading and investment decisions. You should consult a qualified professional before acting on any information you see on COTflow. Trading futures, options, and derivatives involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor.
5. Data accuracy
Positioning data displayed on COTflow is sourced directly from the CFTC's public Commitments of Traders reports. We fetch and transform this data weekly and present it in a structured format. We do our best to ensure accuracy, but:
- The CFTC publishes the underlying data — we are not its source and cannot guarantee its completeness or correctness
- Occasional delays, errors, or revisions in CFTC publication may affect what you see on the dashboard
- Contextual analysis is generated algorithmically and is intended as informational commentary, not as a definitive interpretation
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time.
6. Intellectual property
The Service — including its design, code, copy, dashboards, and contextual analysis output — is owned by Renaud Blaser and protected by copyright and other applicable laws. The underlying CFTC data is public information and is not owned by us.
You retain ownership of any personal notes or content you create through the Service. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal or professional informational use during your subscription.
7. Account termination
You may close your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us at info@cotflow.app to request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or engage in fraudulent or unlawful activity.
Termination doesn't entitle you to a refund except as provided in our Refund Policy.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, COTflow and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, trading losses, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Switzerland, unless a mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
